IEEE Draft Standard for End Subsystem of Digital Retina Systems

Summary

New IEEE Standard - Active - Draft.
The aspects of reference architecture, components, interfaces, and functional requirements of the end subsystem of digital retina system (DRS) are specified in this standard to support collaborative computing with model stream, video stream, and feature stream. The functions of the end subsystem are software-definable, and the models are updatable, which can flexibly adapt to the changes of scenes.

This standard defines the components, and specifies the protocol and functional requirements of the end subsystem of the Digital Retina Systems (DRS) based on IEEE 3161-2022 standard.
According to IEEE 3161 standard, the end subsystem of DRS is mainly responsible for the collection and analysis of visual data. It receives the model stream for analysis and produces both the video stream and feature stream for sensing.
This standard aims to specify the functional requirements to support the above capabilities and features. It provides basic technical specifications to guide the design and development of the end subsystem of DRS.
