IEEE Recommended Practices for Seismic Design of Substations
Summary
Revision Standard - Superseded.
Superseded by IEEE Std 693-2005 Recommendations for seismic design of substations, including qualification of each equipmenttype, are discussed. Design recommendations consist of seismic criteria, qualification methods and levels, structural capacities, performance requirements for equipment operation, installation methods, anddocumentation.
The recommended practices contain recommendations for the seismic design of substation building, structures and equipment.
To provide a recommended practice that will provide the requirements necessary to seismically qualify electric station power facilities and to bring the existing recommended practices into conformance with the lastest technology and practice.
