This standard defines the vocabulary, requirements, metrics, data formats and application program interfaces (APIs) for describing characteristics of, setting up parameters for, and commanding actuators enabling definition of interfaces between the cyber world and the physical world. These actuators shall be defined in both the cyber and physical worlds.
