This Standard applies to the design, construction, marking, operation, maintenance, and owner or operation inspection of the following portable automotive service equipment: attachments, adaptors, and accessories, automotive hand jacks, automotive mechanical jacks, automotive stands, automotive ramps, mobile vehicle lifts and jacks, vehicle transport lifts, vehicle moving dollies, component dollies and jacks, shop cranes, engine stands, shop presses, oil filter crushers, strut spring compressors, oil and antifreeze handlers, portable hydraulic power kits, and engine support tools.
