The document also provides guidance for non-exporting ES DER that could have power system impacts, e.g., modulating load proportionally to system frequency, such as some uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and electric vehicle (EV) chargers.<br />\n
              The purpose of this guide is to provide guidance on prudent and technically sound approaches to interconnection of ES DER to power systems. This guide also considers ES-related topics not currently addressed or fully covered in IEEE Std 1547-2018:<br />\n
              - Guidance for interconnection of EV charging stations with the ability for exporting (i.e., bidirectional active or reactive power exchange) to the connected power system [i.e., vehicle-to-grid (V2G)].<br />\n
              - Guidance on when ES is or is not within the scope of IEEE Std 1547-2018. For example, this guide expands on the exceptions for systems that are non-exporting, e.g., UPS that receive energy from the grid, but use it only for premise loads while off-grid.<br />\n
              - Guidance on charging and generation constraints to minimize negative impacts in the distribution system.<br />\n
