          This document provides guidance for pre-operational testing of Class IE Power systems for nuclear-power generating stations. The extent of the system shall be that covered by IEEE Std 308-1974, Standard Criteria for Class IE Power Systems for Nuclear Power Generating Stations. A system is illustrated by Fig 1. The power systems include both ac and dc supplies but do not include the equipment which utilizes the ac and dc power.<br />\n
          The purpose of this document is to provide direction for establishing an acceptable pre-operational testing program for Class IE power systems in nuclear-power generating stations. The pre-operational tests are performed after the appropriate construction tests have been completed. The purpose of the pre-operational tests is to verify that the functioning of Class IE power systems performs their required function as described in the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) of the station.
